Recently, international students from Togo, Cameroon, and Senegal of the International Francophone Institute (IFI), Vietnam National University, Hanoi had an exciting experience participating in acting in "Đào, Phở and Piano" - a historical film that has become a "box office phenomenon" recently.

During their studies at IFI, in addition to specialized knowledge, students also have the opportunity to learn about the country, people, and culture of Vietnam. In the past semester, international students have visited many famous tourist destinations in Hanoi such as Thăng Long Imperial Citadel, and Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, thereby gaining profound experiences about the history, art, architecture, and life of the Vietnamese people. In addition, they also participated in many beneficial cultural and sports activities such as friendly football matches between generations of IFI, performing the song "African Mother Wakes Up" on the Vietnam National Defence Television channel, and most recently, acting in the film "Đào, Phở and Piano" directed by director and artist Phi Tiến Sơn.

The students who participated in the film include Adossehoun Kossi Joué, Babacar Diop, Bouyo Madaliou, Djimeli Tiona Dariste, Nitcheu Monkam Junior, currently studying in the Master's program in Information Technology, specializing in Intelligent Systems and Multimedia (SIM).

"Đào, Phở and Piano" is a historical film project commissioned by the State to I Film Company under the Department of Cinema, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The film is heavily invested in images, contexts, and scripts to recreate the brave spring battle of the capital's army and people for 60 days and nights from the end of 1946 to the beginning of 1947. In this way, the film also praises patriotism, and national spirit, while delving into the character, and qualities of Hanoians.

Regarding their first experiences participating in acting in a Vietnamese film, Mr. Nitcheu Monkam Junior, a student of the 25th SIM Master's program, shared: "Being involved in filming is a wonderful experience because I had the opportunity to learn more deeply about the history and culture of Vietnam. In addition, the film crew was very enthusiastic and dedicated, they supported me a lot in my first participation in such a film project."

Although it has been more than 2 weeks since its release, the film still resonated widely both in the professional and film-loving communities. At cinemas, the number of people queuing to buy tickets is increasing due to overloaded online booking channels. On social media, the film is becoming a "phenomenon", being actively discussed on many forums with tens of thousands of interactions.
