On March 1st, the International Francophone Institute (IFI), Vietnam National University, Hanoi, in collaboration with the Vietnam-France Institute of Psychology (VFPI), organized a workshop titled "Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace". This event marked the beginning of the "Psychology for Life" community program by VFPI and Dr. Lê Nguyên Phương, a Doctor of Education Leadership and Educational Psychology, aiming to connect, spread, and share more widely useful, scientific, comprehensive, and modern psychological knowledge to the public. At the same time, the workshop also initiated certification training programs in psychology for IFI in the near future.

Participating in the workshop, from VFPI, were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Thị Mỹ Lộc, the Institute's director, and Dr. Ngô Thanh Huệ, the Deputy Director. From IFI, there was Dr. Phùng Danh Thắng, Director of IFI, along with all faculty members and staff of the unit. Kicking off the workshop, Dr. Phùng Danh Thắng, Director of IFI, affirmed the similarity between IFI and VFPI in terms of interdisciplinary nature and the French factor in their development strategies. Therefore, this event was jointly organized by both parties to kickstart the "Psychology for Life" program, while also laying the groundwork for organizing training programs to enhance psychological and emotional capabilities of teachers as well as business managers. Finally, the Director expressed hope that along with speaker Lê Nguyên Phương, the attendees of the workshop would have beneficial exchanges about emotional intelligence, which could be applied in real life to enhance work and study quality.

Following that, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Thị Mỹ Lộc, the Director of VFPI, expressed her hope that the workshop would have a positive impact on the community in general and on psychology experts in particular. According to Ms. Mỹ Lộc, alongside intelligence quotient (IQ), emotional intelligence (EI) is becoming increasingly important, especially in the age of technology, as artificial intelligence is gradually penetrating all aspects of human life. Therefore, the theme "Emotional Intelligence in the Workplace" of the workshop will address contemporary issues and provide valuable knowledge and experience for leaders, human resource managers, teachers, or individuals who need to enhance their understanding of emotional intelligence and its practical application in the workplace.
